Data handling
Merius does not store your prompts or completions and does not train on them. Traffic is encrypted with TLS in transit, and a DPA is available for customers with a GDPR processing relationship.
Merius is built so your requests stay yours. We do not store your prompts or completions, and we do not train on your data.
Retention & training
- Zero data retention on inference. By default, we do not log or store the content of your prompts or the generated outputs beyond the moment needed to process your request and return the result.
- No training on your data. We never use your prompts, inputs, or the outputs we generate for you to train or improve our models without your explicit, opt-in consent.
- Encrypted in transit. Traffic is encrypted with TLS on every request.
GDPR & the DPA
Merius is GDPR-compliant. A signed Data Processing Agreement (DPA) is available for customers with a GDPR processing relationship. It includes the Standard Contractual Clauses for international transfers and sets out our processing details, security measures, and breach-notification terms.
Zero retention is part of why we run our own hardware end to end — the data path is ours. To request a DPA, contact support@merius.ai.
Use with your tools
Point Cursor, Cline, Claude Code, and Continue at Merius. Because the API is OpenAI-compatible, set the base URL and key — no custom plugin.
Security
Keep Merius API keys safe — read them from environment variables, use a key per environment, rotate periodically, and keep keys server-side.
